Rayburn Beverly of Lacey’s Spring, formerly of Huntsville, passed away on Saturday while surrounded by loved ones. He was 83. Ray had worked for years at Brooks and Collier in Huntsville, was a family man who loved his family dearly, and who always worked hard to support them. He enjoyed watching wrestling and westerns.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Beverly. His parents, Nugie & Birdie Beverly; His siblings: Joel Beverly, Wendell Beverly, Ronald “Bud” Beverly, Sharon Clark, and Joyce Beverly.
Surviving family members include his children: Deborah Sharp (Dwight Smith), Nancy Whitt (Chuck), Jeffrey Beverly; his six grandchildren: Chris Whitt, Lisa Whitt, Dustin Beverly, Rickey Lee Sharp, Tyler Sharp, and Brandon Beverly along with eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, his sister, Linda (Rusty) Lincoln, brother, Lanis (Peggy) Beverly; his sisters-in-law, Betty Green and Carolyn Bryant (Larry); his brother-in-law, Thomas Richardson (Lea).
There will be a private graveside service for the family at Golightly Cemetery.
