Ray Moore

Ray Moore, 54, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday.  He had been a Christian and a part of the Holiness faith for 42 years.  Most recently, for 36 years, he has faithfully served the Lord at Mountain View Holiness Church.

He grew up on the farm and worked alongside his dad from the time he was a child. Ray was a hard-working family man and had owned his own construction business for over 35 years.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Dickey Ray Moore.

Surviving family members include his wife of 32 years, Dana Moore;  His son and daughter-in-law, Jordan & Jensen Moore;   His daughter and son-in-law, Miranda & Jacob Wright;  His grandchildren:  Justin Moore, Everett Moore, Sawyer Wright, and Sutton Wright;  His mother, Janice Sue Moore; His sister and brother-in-law, Janet & Troy Priest;  His sister and brother-in-law, Kerri & Jerry Hill. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4pm until 8pm and again on Saturday from 4pm until 8pm – both evenings at Mountain View Free Holiness Church.   Funeral services will be on Sunday at 1pm at the church with Rev. Rodney Underwood, Bro. Bruce Brazier, and Bro. Jason Shockley officiating.   Burial will follow in Britton Cemetery.  The body will lie in state at the church beginning at Noon on Sunday.
