Ray was a 1971 graduate of South Side High School. He retired from Proctor and Gamble in 1998. Ray was a member of East Laurel Baptist Church, where he accepted to Lord as his Savior at the age of 12. Ray was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, uncle and friend to many. Many would say he was the Tennessee Vols #1 fan. He will be greatly missed.
Ray was preceded to heaven by his father, Hoyle Latham and his mother, Maybelle Latham.
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Patricia Robinson Latham, daughter Mandy Robertson (Travis) and son Brian Latham. Ray also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Mitchel Robertson (Courtney), Trinity Robertson, and Carter Latham. Brothers and sisters left behind are Judy Weatherford (Dwayne), Janie Gibson (Dean), Jerry Latham (Paula), and Richard Latham (Judy).
A service to celebrate the life of Ray Latham will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. L. Manning Garrett, Bro. Larry Kirk, and Bro. Jerry Coln officiating. Burial will follow in East Laurel Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday evening, August 15, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
