Ray Junior McCarley, age 76, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Ray was a God-fearing, devoted, and praying Christian.  He was a hard-working farmer, loved being outside, and could fix just about anything.   He was a caring and kind man and will be missed by all who knew him.   “When a great man dies, for years the light he leaves behind him, lies on the paths of men.”

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy McCarley and his parents, Price & Pearl (Kelly) McCarley.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Laura McCarley, Joshua McCarley, Faith Walters (Devin), Ginger Greer, Michelle Borden; grandchildren, Jayden Erb, Kaydence Erb, Landon Hibner, Alexis Erb, Josiah Fisher, Kaysen McCarley, Austin Clay, Tyler Clay, Jonathon Greer, Isaac Greer, Nicole Brown, Josh Brown, Brandon Brown, Tyler Cook; sister, Fayne Pickins (John); brother, Johnny McCarley; and several nieces & nephews.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Rick Newell speaking at the service.  The burial will be at Edgar Chapel Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be William McCarley, Jonathon McCarley, Austin Clay, Jonathon Greer, Isaac Greer, and Jayden Erb.

We want to thank all that has been there for us through his, supported us, and prayed for us.  Thank you for being a part of all of our lives.  We are blessed having had you as friends and him as a dad and granddad.  We are loved and we appreciate all of it.
