Ray G. Worley, age 90, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Collier-Butler Chapel. Bro. Gary Rivers and Bro. Adam Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will accept friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Worley served our country in the United States Navy. He received his Bachelor of Engineering at Auburn University. He was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church. He was also a Mason for many years. Ray enjoyed golfing and trips to Gulf Shores. Above all, Ray loved his family with all his heart. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Helen Worley; wife of 70 years, Carol Worley; son, Alan Worley; sister, Joyce Brady; and father and mother-in-law, Guy and Vinny Mobley.
Ray is survived by his children, Mark Worley, Derek Worley, and Alana Bryan; grandchildren, Alexis Craft, Karson Patton, and Kazlyn Watson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Alabama or to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
