Ray Ford, 79 of Arab passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville. Ray was born July 21, 1944 in St. Clair County the son of Fred L. Ford and Locra Denny Ford. He married Shirley Faye Adams October 13, 1960 and was retired from Simmon’s Lumber Company.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Shirley Ford; daughter: Angela Ford; son: Larry Ray Ford, Jr.; sisters: Bertie Allen and Ruby Nell Sanford; brothers: Joe Ford, Willard Ford and Leonard Ford; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life at a later date. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the Ford family with cremation arrangements.
