Ray Alton Carothers was born November 14, 1942 in Bethel Springs, TN, the son of the late Roy and Laurie Maxine Smith Carother. He graduated Bethel Springs High School. He was a member of the Court Avenue Cumberland Church in Selmer, Tennessee. Over the years of his career, Mr. Carothers was a manager of Sear, General Tire and was owner of Carothers Tire in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Mr. Carothers departed this life on August 23, 2019 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 9 Months, 9 Days.
He is survived by a son, Ray Anthony Carothers and wife Tanya of Baytown, TX and their son, Colton Carothers; uncle and aunt, Edward and Ruth Smith.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 9 am in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs, TN, with Joey Edwards officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, TN.
