Rava Coker Tinley  Rava Coker Tinley, age 72, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 24 th , 2024.
Rava was born on December 24 th , 1951 in Arab, Alabama. She was a lifelong resident
of the Arab, Alabama community.

Rava was a wife, mother, aunt, cousin, friend and “Mama T” to her four beautiful grand
babies that she loved with all her heart. Rava radiated a light to all that knew her. Her
faith was so profound in the way that she lived and loved daily. Her family is forever
grateful for the legacy and memories that she has instilled in us. Rava loved to cook,
host family gatherings and serve others. She was a faithful member of Arab First Baptist
Church.

Rava was known as “Mama T” to her 4 grandchildren, Cooper Lee Tinley (8), Henry
Brooks Tinley (4), Sophie Bell Tinley (4), and Tatum McGraw Tinley (9months). Rava
was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Clarence Coker and brother, Don
“Randell” Coker. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jim Tinley; her
sons, Scott Tinley (Sarah Beth) and Ben Tinley (Abby); her niece, Charlotte Coker
Christian; and her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Arab First Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 27 th from
11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 pm. Officiating will be Ben Tinley, Randy Stewart, Josh Coker and Paul Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to support
the efforts of taking the Hope of Christ to the ends of the earth.
