Randy William Pumphrey, 63, after a long battle with brain cancer, departed this realm on Sunday afternoon, June 9, 2024, from the Hospice Unit at North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo. Randy was born in Chickasaw Co. (Houston) on Sept 15, 1960 to the late William “Billy” Pumphrey and Geneiva Aldridge Pumphrey Kimble, who survives. He graduated from Houston High School and spent his entire working life in the furniture industry. About 20 years ago, he founded as owner and manager, Specialty Bedding Co. Randy enjoyed being a businessman, was a hard worker and very loyal to his employees and his family. He played a mean guitar, loved making and listening to music, and enjoyed the quality time he spent on his farm. An occasional fisherman, Randy devoted his life to others with his giving spirit, generous heart, and his commitment to his wife, Sandy.

At Randy’s request, there will be no formal services. For those who wish to do so, words of encouragement may be entered on Randy’s memorial page at hollandfuneraldirectors.com.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sandy Creadon Pumphrey, whom he married in Ocala, Fla. on May 21, 1998; his mom, Geneiva Pumphrey Kimble; his siblings, Gary Pumphrey and Mark Pumphrey, and a sister, Debbie Pumphrey, and his children by choice, and their families.

Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo is honored to serve their friends.
