Randy Watson, 66, of Haines City, FL, passed away at his residence on October 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 14, 1958, in Iuka, MS, to James Oliver and Willie Kathlean Standfield Watson. Randy proudly served in the U.S. Army for a year and went on to dedicate 42 years as a maintenance supervisor for Outdoor Resort in Orlando, FL. He was of the Baptist faith.

An avid outdoorsman, Randy found joy in fishing, hunting, and exploring nature. At home, he loved tinkering with his cars and spending cherished moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known for his humor and quick wit, he was always ready with a joke, often playfully telling his grandkids they were “butt ugly.” His humor and light-hearted spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy Watson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 45 years, Sara Watson; his son, Randy Watson Jr. and wife, Ashley of Sarasota, FL; daughters, Tiffany Clark of Haines City, FL, and Miranda Taylor and husband, Matt of Jessup, GA; brothers, James Watson and wife, Kat of Leighton, AL, and Roger Watson and wife, Devona of Russellville, AL; and his sister, Donna Marie Watson of Florence, AL. Randy is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Brittany Meadows, Kailey Pulliam, Faith Cason, Brandon Clark, Kyle Cason, Waylon Cason, Wade Cason, Starr Watson, Chasity Clark, and Olivia Watson; and his great-grandchildren, Ian Meadows, Delilah Meadows, and Gracelyn Taylor.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8th, 2024 at 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm all at Morrison Funeral Home 10865 Highway 72 Cherokee, AL 35616. Final resting place will be at Mountain Springs Cemetery in Tuscumbia, AL.
