Randy G. Wammack, 72, resident of Walnut, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday morning July 29, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. A private family memorial is planned.

Mr. Wammack was born December 6, 1951, in Walnut, MS, the last child and only son of the late Luther Wammack and Callie Jones Hopper. He attended Walnut High School, was a graduate of the Memphis Public School System and continued his education at Northeast Mississippi Community College. Mr. Wammack was employed in many different areas of trade that included construction and house painting before finding his fulfillment in the maintenance departments of Dover Elevator, Acme Brick Company in Holly Springs, Corinth Brick Company and The Haworth Company in Bruce.

A private person, Mr. Wammack will be remembered for his love of the outdoors that included camping and walks in nature. He enjoyed tending yard sales, estate sales and was an avid collector of the old comic “Peanuts Gang” that included all Charlie Brown and Snoopy.

Memories will continue to be shared by his children, Tammy Byars (Joey) of Pontotoc, Mitch Wammack (Racheal) of Ripley, two sisters, Wanda Brown and Trudy Nazor, both of Walnut, six grandchildren, Kirsti Turner, Rachel Tran (Liem), Deston Wammack (Bethany), Dayton Wammack, Trent Cornelius and Mikaela Wammack and one great granddaughter, Ellis Idell “Bean” Tran

He is also preceded in death by a sister, Anita Kirk

The family request the memorials be directed the Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 W. Main St., Tupelo, MS 38801
