Randall Johnson Profile PhotoRandall “Randy” Johnson, age 73, went home to Paradise on Sunday, July 14, 2024 and is probably fishing with family by now. Randy was born on May 16, 1951, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Lygie and Rose Johnson.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria Johnson; two sons: Shane (Khris) Johnson of Gallatin, TN, Andy (Crystal) Johnson of Paris, TN; five bonus daughters: Aiyana (Joey) Henderson of Boston, MA, Katlyn (Zach) Newton of Windsor, VT, Jennafer (Kay) Henderson of Lafayette, TN, Cheyanne Henderson serving in the USMC, and Leandrea Henderson of White River Junction, VT; seven grandchildren: Zach, Greg, Kameron, Cooper, Ali, Nate, and Silvia; along with his siblings: Jeff (Cindy) Johnson and Melissa Walters, all of Ethridge, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy proudly served our country for 8 years in the Army National Guard assigned to the 473rd Support Battalion in Lawrenceburg, TN. Randy lived an honest life as a farmer, truck driver and agricultural equipment salesman. He was an avid fisherman, always looking for the next bass to bend his line.

As a teen Randy gave his life to Christ; he thoroughly enjoyed ministering to and preaching the word of God in his twenties and as his family grew and life became complicated he wandered, but always knew who his Savior was. Six years ago he rededicated his life to the Lord and was a devoted member of Ethridge Church of Christ. His love for his wife, Victoria, was profound, and he believed that God brought them together; he thanked God every day for the life they were blessed to live. Family became the heart of Randy’s life, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, niece and nephews.

Randy was blessed to be able to come back to the family farm he was raised on to spend his last years, a place that brought him immense joy and peace. He was a gifted singer and bass fisherman, a love that he passed onto his son and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, but those who knew him best will find solace that he is no longer in pain and that he is already checking out the ponds and rivers in Paradise, and we will see him again!

A memorial service for Randy will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the Ethridge Church of Christ, Hwy 43, Ethridge, TN. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 pm, with the memorial service following at 2:00 pm. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
