Randall Jeffery “Jeff” Black, 53 of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, March 01, 2014. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2014 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia with the funeral service following in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. Frank Richey and Mitchell Dalrymple will officiate the service.
Jeff was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ. He received a Bachelor in Professional Biology/Chemistry from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and was an Environmental Supervisor for the Colbert County Health Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert H. Black; grandparents, Archie and Alma Black and R.C. and Rossie Skidmore; and father-in-law, Richard Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Rhonda Taylor Black; sons, Landon Jeffery Black and Logan Taylor Black; mother, Patsy Skidmore Black; brother, Chris Black and wife, Paige; sisters, Lorrie Nichols and husband, Scottie and Jennifer Fisher and husband, Brian; brother-in-law, Rick Taylor; four nieces; seven nephews; one great nephew and two great nieces.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dale Brown, Greg Dalrymple, Johnny Grissom, Keith Willingham, Mike Dalrymple, Larry Howard, James Congleton and Danny Allison.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to Alacare Hospice, Dr. Allen Yeilding and his Staff.
