A Graveside Service for Ramona Lee Eaton, 89, will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Midway Memorial Gardens with Bro. Joe David Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No Public Visitation is scheduled.
Mrs. Eaton passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at her residence. She was born Wednesday, August 15, 1934, in Memphis, to Raymond Lee Paul and Mildred Anderson Paul.
Ramona worked for many years for Southern Airways in Memphis Tennessee and at one time had wanted to be a flight attendant. In 1975, she decided to give marriage another try and married Joe W. Eaton of Hartselle. They were married over 35 years until his death in 2012. Ramona was a member of Danville Baptist Church for many years. In her past time, she enjoyed growing roses, playing Bridge, and spoiling her four-legged fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Joe W. Eaton, her brothers-in-law: Morris “Skippy” Dye, Sr. and Richard Bradley and her nephew, Morris Dye, Jr.
A “Special Thanks” to those who were her friends and caregivers: Misty Fisher, Cindy Grove, Donna Pierson and Bonnie Barrett. “Thank You” to her Physical and Occupational Therapists from Centerwell Home Health, Dr. Brady Aderholt and his staff and especially Bridgett and Keith of Hospice of North Alabama.
