Ramona Gotcher Howard, 81, of Killen, died Sunday, January 17, 2016, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Howard was born December 1, 1934, in Colbert County
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Fannie Gotcher; son, Glen Perry; husband, Elvis Howard; mother-in-law, Juanita Howard.
A private service will be held at a later date. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her children, Ramona Cody (Kenneth) and Robert Perry (Melissa); sisters, Libby Zelda Smith (Dan) and Peggy Klein; six grandchildren, Josh Cody, Jacob Cody (Allison), Aubry Sistrunk (Milton), Garrett Perry (Janelle), Alexa Perry (Joey), and Gillus Carter (Katy); and six great-grandchildren, Jaylon Cody, Kam Sistrunk, Mia Cody, Piper Cody, Ezra Johnson, and Jaxon Cody; several nieces and nephews; her fur-babies, Sweetie and Susie.
Mother was an avid Auburn and North Carolina Panthers fan. She was happiest when she was spending time with her family. She loved substitute teaching at Rogers School. She was a great cook but hated to follow a recipe. Mac and cheese was her family’s favorite.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Atlas Church of Christ, Building Fund.
