Ramona Elaine King – Obituary

Ramona Elaine King, 73, left her earthly life to join her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on April 30, 2013. She was surrounded by her family in her home as she departed. She was a member of Open Door Worship Center in Fulton, Miss. She loved Gospel music, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family.

She was born in Colbert County, Ala. on Jan. 1, 1940, to Paul and Leona King. She is survived by her three children, Yvetta Harris (Albert), Ninka Elliott (Frank) and James Goins Jr. (Debby); five grandchildren, Wayne and Joshua Harris (Esther), Cindy and Johnathan Elliott (Maggie) and James Goins III; five great-grandchildren, Brennan, Chandler and Nicholas Harris, Kristen Robinson and Kaden Harris; four brothers, Malcolm, Curtis, Gilbert and Milton King; and a host of nieces; and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Leona King; one sister, Jean Moody; and two brothers, Hershel and Wade King.

Her family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening, May 2, 2013, at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 6-8. Brother Shane Ray will preside over the service Friday afternoon, May 3, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
