Ralph Reeves, 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 23, 1935 in Monroe County to Bilbo and Fleta Bell Adams Reeves. A graduate of Greenwood Springs High School, he married the former Bobbie Tubbs and for many years, he owned and operated Ralph’s Salvage Yard as well as working construction. He loved to attend auctions and he was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Paul Reeves and Bro. Donald Edge officiating. Burial will follow in the Durrett Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Reeves of Amory; three sons, Rusty Reeves of Bartahatchie, Dannie Shields (Lynn) of Amory, and Wesley Shields of Aberdeen; two daughters, Diane Adams (Eddie) of Quincy and Frankie Phillips (Jimmy) of Quincy; one sister, Mary Ford of Smithville; his brother, Joe Reeves of Quincy; grandchildren, Kristy Monaghan, Stacy Lee, Brian Shields, Jennifer King, Brooke Reeves, Gayla Reeves, Jeremy Reeves, River Reeves, Rhody Reeves, Tyler Childress, and Brandon Childress; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nepews; and special friends, Shirley Reeves, Lisa Cortez, and Thomas “Blue” Ward.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randy Reeves; a brother, Junior Reeves; and twin daughters at birth.
Pallbearers will be Randy King, Bryan Shields, Gavin Lee, Grayson Lee, Allen Lee, Dale Monaghan, Ben Boyd, and Harvey Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Harris, Jackie McNeese, and Paul Parish.
Visitation will be on Sunday from noon until service time.
