Ralph Odia Grissom, age 77, of Town Creek, Ala., died Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
Visitation for family and friends will be today, 2-3 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Eddie Osborn officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Grissom was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Nitrate City Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances “Cricket” Grissom, his parents, Walter and Norine Grissom, brother, Jerry Grissom, sister, Darlene Bevis, and cousin, John Thomas “Coonie” Marlar.
He is survived by his son, Thomas “Tuck” Grissom (Kathie); daughter, Trina Traffanstedt; brother, Paul Grissom (Judy); sister, Dorothy Wyrick; granddaughter, Ashley Mc Daniel (Carter); and great-grandson, Ethan McDaniel.
Pallbearers are Orville King, Paul Peden, Phillip Berry, Daryl Jarmon, Michael Beckwith, and Todd Berryman.
Honorary pallbearer is Sam Hennigan.
