Ralph J. Reeves, 83 of Empire, passed away May 3, 2023.
He was a member and Deacon of Dilworth Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired form U.S. Steel where he worked 25 years. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances “Lucy” Reeves; parents, Hoyt and Irene Reeves; brothers, Hershel Reeves and Darryl Reeves; father and mother-in-law, Helen and Clay Moseley; friend, Jeanette Weldon.
Survivors include his children, Debbi Knott, Michael Reeves (Esther), Ricky Reeves (Trinity), Sherree Overton (Jason); grandchildren, Dayla Lewis ( Tim), Jessica Miller (Joseph), Lenzi Beck (Kendall), Josh Reeves (Jill), Nate Reeves (Bre), Whitney Sides (Cody), Courtney Reeves (Dylan), Alyson Blakely (Adam), Chandler Overton, and Bella Overton; great grandchildren, Emma Knott, Cole Chapman, Eli Chapman, Makenzie Beck, Kambree Beck, Willow Sides, Rocky Sides, Mason Reeves, Adele Reeves, Grayson Reeves, Everett Blakely and Eliza Blakely; Sister, Becky Baughn (Jitter); brother, Roger Reeves (Judy); Sister in law, Joyce Reeves and brother in law, Jerry Moseley (Un).
Funeral Service will be held Sunday May 7, 2023 at 2:00pom in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at New Canaan Cemetery in Empire. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30-2pm.
