Ralph Irving Garner, age 83, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, December 16, 2013. Visitation will be Wednesday, 12-2 p.m. at Hampton Heights Baptist Church. His funeral service will follow with Dr. Jimmy Gardiner officiating. A private burial will be in Donley Cemetery.
Mr. Garner retired from Reynolds Metals after thirty eight years of service. He served in the U. S. Marines, was a Mason in the Washington Lodge #36 and was a lifetime farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Rose Garner and his parents, John Whit and Myrtle Byrd Garner.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Garner; daughters, Sharon Landers, Kathy Bullington, Beth DeVaney; brother, John A. Garner; grandchildren, Chase Bullington, Coty Bullington, Jincy Landers, Harrison Garner, Hollin Garner, Grace Porter, JoBeth Porter, Chapman Porter and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Harrison Garner, Chapman Porter, Chase Bullington, Coty Bullington, Roger Landers and Greg Bullington.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Christian School.
