Ralph Edward King 79, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at his residence. He was born June 13, 1943 in Newburyport, Massachusetts to Napoleon and Beatrice King. He was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard, he was also an avid Ham Radio Operator for over 60 years and his call sign was “K1KOB”. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Walter King. He is survived by his wife of 57 years RoseMarie King; one son Troy King (Cindy); three daughters, Shannon Quattlebaum (James), Karen Harrington (Donald Jr.) and Lynda Meyer (Nicholas); one sister, Nancy LaPlant; twelve grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Elizabeth, Troy II, Ashton Colton, Cara, Zebulon, Christian, Lucie, Braxton and Dalton; two great grandchildren, Knox and Maverick. Funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Patrick Egan officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Date and times will be announced. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
