Raines Lyle Russell  Raines Lyle Russell, 72, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Friday, January 12, 2023, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. For most of his life, Raines was a carpenter. He worked his way up through TVA and eventually became president over power shops 1 and 2. Most recently, he worked as a dispatcher with the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department and loved his job. He was a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church and a member of Iuka Masonic Lodge #94 F&AM. Raines was a huge fan of MS State Football and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. What he loved the most was getting to spend time with his grandchildren. Raines is survived by his wife, Annette Russell; his children, William Eric Russell (Jamie) and Jason Lyle Russell (Amanda); his grandchildren, Jeremy Russell (Megan), Ethan Taylor(Victoria), Walker Taylor(Kimberly), Lindsay Osorio(Edgar), Rose Russell, Brooklynn Russell, and Katie Russell; his great-grandchildren, Athena Osorio, Ashton Osorio, Emsley Taylor, Oakley Taylor, Hunter Russell, Colby Russell, and Nolan Russell; his siblings, Barbara Thompson and Nathan Russell; and his nephews, Chris Thompson, Greg Thompson, and Randy Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton and Louise Russell; and his brother, Nolan Russell. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Robert Wood and Clayton Mills. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers include John Dennis Daugherty, Ryan Glover, Donnie Crabb, Jeff Sparks, Dustin Ware, and Edmund Crowell. Honorary pallbearers include Chuck Clark. Memorials may be made in Raines’ honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
