Rachelle Norris Kirk, born February 14, 1986, in Mons, Belgium, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, in Corinth, MS. Rachelle was a dedicated assistant office manager for Jarnigan Maintenance & Fabrication in Corinth, where she was known for her professionalism and warmth. Before that, she shared her passion for animals while working at Pet Smart in Tupelo, MS.
A proud graduate of Alcorn Central High School in 2004, Rachelle continued her education at Northeast Mississippi Community College and ultimately earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Mississippi. Her commitment to learning and personal growth was a hallmark of her character.
Rachelle was deeply cherished by her family. She is survived by her husband, Randy C. Kirk of Ramer, TN; her parents, Lonnie Ray and Pamela Kay Cherem Norris of Corinth, MS; a brother, Lonnie Ray Norris, II and his wife Amber Nicole of Clarksville, TN; a sister-in-law, Christy Kirk McCarty and her husband Seth of Michie, TN; and her sister of the heart, Tracy Nelms and her husband Robbie of Corinth, MS. Rachelle also leaves behind her maternal grandmother, Sharon Dietrich and her husband John of Ocala, FL; her paternal grandmother, Mattie Norris of Grant, AL; along with four nieces: Rylee and Olivia Norris of Clarksville, TN, Hayle VanCleave of Michie, TN, and Macy Hall of Corinth, MS, as well as two nephews, Ethan and Christian Nelms of Corinth, MS. She will be remembered fondly by numerous extended family members and friends.
While Rachelle embraced the responsibilities of her career, she also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved camping, watching “Big Brother,” and traveling to new places, creating memories that her loved ones will forever cherish. Rachelle was a faithful member of Holly Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, worked in the nursery, ran the sound booth, and participated in the Women’s Ministry.
Rachelle was predeceased by her in-laws, Carl and Doris James Kirk; her maternal grandfather, Gregory Cherem and his wife Martha; and her paternal grandfather, Joseph Norris. Their loving memories will remain in the hearts of her family.
Rachelle’s spirit, filled with love and kindness, has left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to resonate through the lives she touched during her time on this earth. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
