Rachel White Grubbs age 90 of Athens, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Brookshire Healthcare in Huntsville, AL. Mrs. Grubbs was born March 2, 1924 in Limestone County, AL to Ernest Milton White and Mary Elizabeth Davis White.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 1:00 p.m., at Roselawn Cemetery with Don Osborne officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Grubbs was a member of Market Street Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Edward Grubbs; six brothers and six sisters.
Survived by one son, Don Grubbs and wife, Sharon; one daughter, Sandra Hawk and husband, Jerry; four grandchildren, Amy Lee and husband, Jon, Davis Hawk, Kacy Martin and husband, David and Cody Grubbs; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Grubbs, Lily Grubbs and Wesley Martin; several nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends.
