Rachel Rachelle Green Butler, age 42, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2015, after an extended illness. Her family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 7, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home chapel. Thomas Thornton and Wayne Green will officiate. Interment will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Butler was a native of Tuscumbia. She was employed with Shoney’s Restaurant for twenty-five years and with Shoals Hospital. Preceding Mrs. Butler in death are her parents, Phyllis and Rickey Richey; sister, Stephanie W. Green; and brother, Brian Richey.
Survivors include parents, Bobby and Patricia Green; son, Ricky Holman and his wife Nicci; daughter, Courtney Butler; brother, Dewayne Green and wife Juanita; sister, Tricia Harrison and husband Chris; the love of her life for the past several years John Troy Glidden; grandchildren, Rachelle, Addison, and Gage Holman; a very special and dear person Randy Butler; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ron Almy, Jonathon Entrekin, Dennis Logan, Justin Vandiver, Austin Logan, and Thomas Richey. Honorary pallbearers include Anthony Logan and Ryan Zedrow.
