Rachel Brasher Profile Photo Rachel Pauline Pusser Brasher, age 93 passed away May 12, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born March 25, 1930 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Noah Solomon and Myrtle Ethel Goff Pusser. She married Woodrow (W.A.) Brasher on June 12, 1947 and they made their home in Enville. Mr. Brasher preceded her in death on December 23, 1994.

She worked for I Appel in Scotts Hill from 1964 until 1996 when the factory closed and she retired.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Savannah and had been a deaconess and enjoyed making the communion bread.

She enjoyed raising flowers, weed eating and mowing the lawn.

Mrs. Brasher is survived by a son, Doyle Brasher (Cathy) of Enville; two daughters, Linda Jones of Enville and Patti Roe of Enville; six grandchildren, Robert Jones, Brandon Jones (Stephanie), Michael Brasher, Anita Brasher (Wayne Wallen), Brandi Phillips (Cory) and Telena Bickel; twelve great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; a sister, Irene Alexander of Maryville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Woodrow Arthur Brasher, five brothers, Gilbert Pusser, Brice Pusser, Raymond Pusser, Ward Pusser and Jamie Pusser and two sisters, Lavelle Bushnell and Inez Moody.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 16th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with burial to follow at Roby Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday.
