Quinton Glendale Walker – Obituary

quintonQuinton Glendale Walker, 67, of Detroit, Alabama, formerly of Haleyville, entered into rest Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Mr. Walker was born on January 14, 1948. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Quinton was known as “Dale” or “Dusty” by family and friends. He enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycle riding, music, and dancing. Dusty loved his horse Lymon and spent many hours breaking and training him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10am. Brother Ricky Gattis will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Home Lumbull Cemetery.

Dusty is survived by his wife of 4 years, Edna Walker; daughter, Chasity Hankins; sister, Helen Carter; half brother, Tony Walker; nephew, Allan Sayles, Brandon Walker; great nephews, Steven Sayles, Caleb Sayles, William Sayles; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Quinton Walker; mother, Earnestine Waldrop; brother, Mark Walker; grandparents, Olen and Fall Walker, Earnest and Fannie Hall.
