Mr. Quiniss Ladue FossettQuiniss Ladue Fossett of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Monday, September 2, 2024. He was the first and only son born to Flora Michaels Fossett and Chalma Lee “Red” Fossett in Langston, AL on July 4, 1939. Quiniss and Annie Ruth Brooks were married on January 14, 1956. They were blessed with two children. Debra was born in 1959, and Ladue arrived in 1963. “Q”, as he was known by family and friends was a true southern gentleman.

Mr. Fossett was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Glenda Fossett Manning. He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Annie Ruth; his children, Debra Fossett O’Neal (Ricky) and Darwin Ladue Fossett (Kim) all of Scottsboro, AL.; grandchildren, Rush Holland Crawford of Tuscaloosa, AL. and Brooks Ladue Fossett (Allysa),, Birmingham, AL. and his precious great grandchildren, Henry Ladue Fossett and Eloise Gene Fossett; sisters, Phyllis Fossett Hall (Kenneth), Wanda Fossett Green (Jimmy), Karen Fossett Vandiver (Danny); brother in law, Lester Manning and many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.

A graveside visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with a graveside service immediately following at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ed Fossett officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Quiniss Ladue Fossett.
