Funeral service for Pruitt Johnson, 78, will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Linderman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson died on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born September 1, 1939, in Morgan County to Asbury Johnson and Mary (Garnett) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a self-employed service station owner prior to his retirement and he was the founding member of the Neel VFD and served in the volunteer service for 44 years. He loved his animals and was known for his chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Sue Johnson; Grandson: Corporal Jon-Erik Loney; Granddaughter: Darlene Johnson and by several brothers and sisters.
