Proposals sought to promote health system changes regarding tobacco within the African American community

MONTGOMERY-The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) is seeking a local lead agency to develop a coalition or engage a current coalition to promote health system changes regarding tobacco within the African American community. This request for proposal (RFP) is targeted to address the African American community that has been disproportionately impacted by tobacco use and dependence. The purpose of this RFP is to improve health equity among this population with the completion of required activities.

One award of $50,000 per year for up to two years will be made.The scope of work required will include working with a local coalition, conducting a needs assessment, and collaborating with partners to develop plans to improve health equity.

Eligible applicants include all public or private non-profit organizations, government agencies, faith-based organizations, colleges and universities.

Organizations are invited to submit proposals for consideration by May 15, 2023.
