imagesCOLBERT COUNTY-There has been a  report of possible aircraft crash into the Tennessee River in the morning hours of Monday, April 6th.  Accordintg to the Colbert County Emergency  Management Agency this report is still unconfirmed at this time.  The EMA is on the scene and report nothing on the surface of the water except the debris spotted by a boater.

A boater spotted debris early Monday morning noting that it could be from an aircraft and called authorities.  The debris was found near the bridge in the water at the Natchez Trace Parkway.

According to EMA, it is not known what type of aircraft crashed but the debris appears to be that of a possible aircraft.   Again at this time a crash cannot be confirmed.
