Polly Watson, age 83, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on March 28, 1941, in Maury County to the late Herbert and Bulah Bennett, Polly lived a life full of love, warmth, and dedication to her family. She was a wonderful woman who never met a stranger, always ready with a smile or a kind word. Her gentle nature and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.
Polly had a passion for the simple joys of life. She loved camping, shopping, and playing the piano, often filling her home with music and laughter. One of her greatest pleasures was riding around with her husband, Doris Watson, exploring the countryside and creating countless cherished memories. Their marriage of 68 years was a testament to their deep love and commitment to one another, as together they built a life rich with love and happiness.
Polly’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Doris Watson; her children, Steven Watson and Sandra Perley; and her granddaughter, Joanne Perley, who brought immense joy to her life. Polly’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
