Polly Ledgewood, aged 81, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Dogwood Assisted Living Center in Corinth. Polly was a talented beautician her entire life until she devoted her time to caring for her mother and husband. She was baptized at the age of 33 years old at Prospect Church in Iuka and stayed of the Christian faith her entire life, most recently as a member of Patrick Methodist Church. In her free time, she loved riding around and spending time with her family. Mrs. Polly is survived by her daughters, Rita Trantham and Lisa Tweddle (David); her grandchildren, Chris Trantham (Rachel) and Donnie Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Trantham and Ellisyn Johnson; her nieces, Debra and Donna; and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Ledgewood; her mother, Esther Seago Lindsey; her father, Bilbo Lindsey; and her brother, Donald Lindsey (Josephine). Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. James Rich. Burial will be in Corinth National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
