MARION COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports on Tuesday, December 21 a plane crashed in a field n in Marion County:
“A plane crash that occurred at approximately 2:24 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, has caused the pilot, sole occupant, to be transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.
A Beech Model D-55 Fixed Wing twin engine plane crashed in a field near Interstate 22 behind the Love’s Truck Stop at exit 14. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and is currently responding. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division in-conjunction with deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office assisted in securing the scene.
Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.”
