HUNTSVILLE-A statement from the Huntsville International Airport regarding the crash of a small plane today:
“Today at approximately 2:20 p.m. CST a small general aviation aircraft leaving the Huntsville International Airport crashed during takeoff resulting in three confirmed fatalities. Our condolences go out to the families for their loss. With the help of our regional mutual aid partners we were able to return to normal operations at 5:15 p.m. CST.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and FAA will be in charge of this investigation and will be releasing information moving forward.”
