, age 79, of Vernon, Alabama, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at DCH in Tuscaloosa, AL. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Wofford Cemetery. Bro. Mitch Nethery and Bro. David Traywick to officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Les Wright, Sammy Merchant Jr., Colton Rodriquez, Carson Chiquito, Tommy Chism, Andres Rodriquez, Wesley Newell, and Eddie Waskar.
Mr. Pennington was born June 4, 1934 in Lamar County, Alabama to the late Lesley and Mary Jane Lewis Pennington. He was a 1952 graduate of Lamar County High School. Mr. Pennington served in the United States Army. He was retired from United Technologies. Mr. Pennington enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and attending sporting events. He was of the Baptist faith.
