Phyllis Phillips Profile Photo  Phyllis Phillips was born on February 11, 1938, in Biggersville, Mississippi, to Walter Edgar Bennett and Amy Grace Parvin, both of whom preceded her in death.

On March 20, 1982, Phyllis married Glenn (Haney) Phillips, sharing a joyful life together until his passing on August 10, 2022. She dedicated 18 years of her career to Garan Manufacturing before eventually retiring from Kimberly-Clarke after 20 years. A member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee, Phyllis found joy in her community and her faith.

Her passions included exploring flea markets, reading, sewing, and nurturing her beautiful garden. Phyllis’s warm spirit and creativity touched the lives of many, leaving cherished memories for her family and friends.

Phyllis departed this life on September 26, 2024, in Adamsville, Tennessee, at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 15 days.

She is survived by her two daughters, Pat Churchwell of Adamsville, TN, and Terry Pruitt of Stantonville, TN; seven grandchildren: Shawn Hollin and wife Wendy of Savannah, TN, Nichole Hull and husband Drew of Michie, TN, Tammy Hollin of Savannah, TN, Jeromy Pruitt of Savannah, TN, Daniel Jones and wife Jai of Adamsville, TN, Cody Pruitt and wife Tara of Savannah, TN, and Jeffery Gordon of Selmer, TN; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Smith, her son Mike Hollin, and two sons-in-law, Jim Pruitt and Kennie Churchwell.

Phyllis Phillips will be remembered for her loving nature, strength, and unwavering commitment to her family. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
