Born November 2, 1954, in Michigan; Nett was the daughter of the late Robert Hubert Broadway and the late Ally Louise Scroggins Broadway. She moved to Culleoka at a young age and attended Culleoka Unit School. Nett married Danny Owens on March 9, 1979. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church, and a longtime cook at the Santa Fe Diner. Her grandchildren often called her “Granny Nett”, and she was universally loved by everyone she met; with a heart of gold and an open mind, she would give the shirt off her back to keep others happy. Often, on Friday nights she could be seen working at the diner, singing in the kitchen, and prompting others to join her. She enjoyed coloring, laughing, and enjoying all life had to offer. Nett loved spending time with her family; and around Halloween time, always looked forward to dressing up with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Nett is survived by her daughter: Kena (Jason) Sisk; granddaughters: Kayla Sisk, Karley (Caleb Burdette) Sisk, Kassie Sisk; great-grandchildren: Carson Shawn Burdette, Zoey Marie Sisk; and one great-grandchild on the way: Kaiden Brent Burdette.

In addition to her parents, Nett is preceded in death by her brother: Gabe Broadway.

Acting as Honorary Pallbearers will be her close friends and co-workers at the Santa Fe Diner; Lisa Bloom, Jessica Justice, Diana Potts, Barbara Sutherland; and special friends: Karen Skinner, and the employees of D & D Towing.
