Phyllis M. Thigpen, 79, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, November 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The service will 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11th at the funeral home with Jerry Campbell and Mickey Hyde officiating. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery.
Phyllis was a native of Florence. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts. She retired from Reltoc Sewing Factory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tollie Thigpen; parents, Bithey and James Butler; sisters, Margaret Hill, Mary Butler, Marie Dowdy and Frances Wilson; and brother, James Ray Butler Jr.
Phyllis is survived by her brothers, William Butler, Glenn Butler and Roy Butler; sisters, Linnie Thigpen, Faye Hill and Virginia Risner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
