Phyllis Ann Finney Bishop, age 63 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Manchester, she was born on October 13, 1956 to the late Edward Kenneth and Dorothy LaVerne Boyd Finney. She was previously employed at the Central Church of Christ in Chattanooga, and afterwards at the Winchester Church of Christ for 13 years before her retirement. In her free time she loved to work on her scrapbooks, enjoy the beauty of nature and spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed a lifelong comradery with her siblings, especially her sisters. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her infant brother, Marvin Earl Finney. She is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” Bishop of Winchester; sons, Edward Scot Crosslin of Chattanooga; Thomas (Renee) Crosslin of Manchester; sisters, Alma (the late Terry Wayne) Cowan of Hillsboro, Valda (the late Chuck) Barrett of Manchester, Doris (Marlin) McCullough of Manchester; brothers, James (Roberta) Finney, Larry (Patricia) Finney, DeWayne (Connie) Finney; granddaughters, Bailey Renee Crosslin and Aubrey Danielle Crosslin. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Horton and Bro. David Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Winchester Christian Academy, P.O.
