Phyliss Bottorff Johnson Bottorff Johnson, age 84 of Huntsville, Alabama formerly of Huntland, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Memphis, Indiana on June 17, 1935 to the late Harold and Bertha (Thomas) Bottorff. Phyliss was retired from the Franklin County School System. She had worked for many years at Huntland School and truly treasured her work and school family. Phyliss was an avid Kentucky Basketball fan, loved spending time with her dog Daisy, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her beloved family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.E. “Blackie” Johnson. Phyliss is survived by her loving children, Mark C. (Patricia) Johnson of Madison, Alabama, and Rebecca (José) Betancourt of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Becca Grace Betancourt, Ashley Nicole Johnson, and Zachary Morgan Johnson; brother, Harold E. (Shirley) Bottorff of Copley, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Mickey (Grant) Morris of Charlestown, Indiana. Private family services will be held with burial at Moore Memorial Cemetery. The register book and memorial cards will be available under the carport of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home from 10 am-12 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2020. An attendant will be available to assist you.
