Photography, 3D Printing, & Public Speaking Classes and More in the Collaboratory

 FLORENCE-The Collaboratory, the library’s makerspace, has several events coming up soon!
Learn or hone a skill (like photography, 3D printing, or public speaking), enjoy some trivia and sci-fi short stories, or attend a live recording of an interview with local music legend Willie Ruff.

All events are free and open to the public, but seating may be limited for some classes.  Reserve a spot (encouraged, but not required) by calling

Interested in learning more about photography? This 2-part course will overview both the elements of photography and basic camera settings to help you achieve an understanding of what make a great photo.

 Basics of 3D Printing with Tucker Green
Saturday, March 23rd at 10-12pm
In this session, we will discuss the basics of desktop 3D printing. We will address the benefits of 3D printing, the differences between 3D printing and other types of manufacturing, the varieties of 3D printing, and the 3D printing process.

Are you interested in learning more in the uncomfortable art of public speaking? Come learn some tricks and tips to make your next speaking engagement a little less intense.

 Interview with a Local: Mr. Wille Ruff

Come meet and be part of the interview with former Yale Professor and Jazz Musician, Willie Ruff. Questions must be submitted by the previous Friday and can be submitted to tucker@flpl.org. Mr. Ruff is a Sheffield native and has an amazing story to tell.
