Phillip W. Sheffield, 62, longtime resident of Lee County, passed away peacefully, while sleeping on Wednesday morning, August 28, 2024. He was born in Hamilton Alabama to the late Basil Sr. and Mae Evelyn Wilson Sheffield. Phillip was a butcher for Piggly Wiggly for most of his career and will be remembered for his love of outdoors and Ole Miss.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Phillip will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors. The burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service on Thursday.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 39 years, Felicia Smith Sheffield of Guntown, one son, P.J. Sheffield of Guntown, two daughters Brandi Sheffield of Guntown and Brooke Hughes (Marty) of Fulton, one brother, Ricky Sheffield, six sisters, Hazel Hale, Rebecca Senter, Faye Franks, Jackie Fuhr, Barbara Lindsey, and Vickie Shelton, one brother in law, Jimmy Suddeth, one sister in law, Shelia Sheffield, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James Sheffield and Basil Sheffield Jr. and one sister, Rae Suddeth.
