Phillip W. Lacy, age 65, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with his loving family at his side.
Born in Jackson, TN on April 25, 1957, he was the son of the late C.T. and Clarice Walters Lacy. He was the owner and operator of Lacy’s 1st Choice Locksmith for over thirty years working along with his son, David. Prior to locksmithing, he owned and operated Lacy’s Corner Market.
Phillip was a long-time member and Past Master of St. John’s Masonic Lodge #332, serving as the lodge secretary for fourteen years. He was also a member of several appendant Masonic bodies. Serving his community, he was a Madison County Constable for over thirty years. His wife and children, especially his granddaughters were his passion in life. He enjoyed everything they enjoyed, always attending their performances, meets, and tournaments and loved assisting with these events whenever he could. He also enjoyed traveling and camping in his RV.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Bivens Lacy of Jackson, TN; his son, David Lacy and wife Olivia of Jackson, TN; daughter, Kathryn Lacy Rice of Jackson, TN; a brother, Ted Lacy and wife Linda of Atwood, TN; two sisters, Geneice Langford and husband Ben of Medina, TN and Marcia Matheney of Jackson, TN, and his four granddaughters, Jasmine Lacy, and Nova, Lydia, and Darcy Rice.
Those serving as pallbearers will be David Lacy, Kathryn Rice, Boolus Boohaker, Charles Hailey, Ted Lacy, and Andrew Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Nova Rice, Lydia Rice, Darcy Rice, and Jasmine Lacy.
SERVICE: The Funeral Service for Phillip will be held Monday, March 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Ronnie Bush officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Ellen and her family will be receiving friends on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m.
