Phillip Randall Gates, 68, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Gates has lived in the Ardmore community all of his life and was a member at Cash Point Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending his free time in the outdoors hunting, fishing, farming, and gardening.
Mr. Gates is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Gates and Marjorie McCowan Gates.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judy Gates, one son, Brandon (Angie) Gates, one daughter, Tiffini (Troy) Reed, one brother, Dwight Gates, four grandchildren: Cierra Reed, Tucker Reed, Hunter Gates, and Brynna Gates, as well as his special extended family: Curtis (Patti) Carter, Vickie Carter, Jerrica (Jordan) Brown, Amberley Carter, Levi Carter, Whitney (Travis) Chittam, Delilah Chittam, Sophie Chittam, and Bentley Chittam.
There will be a visitation held for Mr. Gates at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled to follow visitation with service time beginning at 1:00 PM. Bro. Derrick Moose and Bro. Joe McNeal will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
