Mr. Phillip Norman Sandlin, age 58, born January 21, 1963, in McMinnville, TN, and died October 06, 2021, at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was self-employed with A & P Upholstery, previously attended Madison Street Baptist Church, and loved to coach softball and basketball. Mr. Sandlin was preceded in death by his parents James Otis Sandlin and Jessie Oleta McCaleb Sandlin, brother David Nathan Sandlin, sister-in-law June Sandlin, and brother-in-law Jeff Grissom.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 32 years Angela Grissom Sandlin, children Meagan Danielle Sandlin (Curtis) Lloyd, Phillip Alan Sandlin, and Jordan Ray Sandlin, sisters Louise Boles (Jerry) Winkler and Cathey (Keith) Carpenter, brother Odis Paul Sandlin, grandchildren Ethan Evans, Colton Evans, and Laelah Lloyd, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Stanley and Ovalene Grissom. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive.
Graveside services and interment is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Noon, Saturday, October 09, 2021, at Brick House Cemetery in Rock Island, TN. Dennis Parillo will officiate. Visitation with the Sandlin family is Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. On Saturday, family and friends will meet at the cemetery and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
