Mr. Phillip Lynn Drummond age 69 of Northport, Alabama passed away March 4, 2023 at his residence.
Phillip was Born April 4, 1953 to Casey Drummond and Jeral Dean Drummond in Birmingham, AL. He was a 1971 graduate of Corner High School.
He worked odd jobs through school. He was an avid farmer who loved growing things. He worked for U.S. Steel and then Jefferson County until his retirement. He was a die-hard Auburn fan. He watched all the sports Baseball, Softball, Football and Basketball. He loved hunting and fishing. He loved life. To know him was to love him.
He is survived by his wife; Margaret Drummond, his mother; Jeral Dean Drummond, his children; Casey Drummond and Cassandra Mathews, his step children; Sharon Dickinson (Steve), Kristy Corley (John) and Michele Stanford (Craig), his brother; David Drummond (Diana) and his sister, Andrea Key (Phillip); his grandchildren; Garrett Mathews, Keeton Mathews, Kennedy Goodwin and Savannah Pugh; great grandchildren, Levi Pugh; step great grandchildren, Kyle Rainey (Natasha), Ryan Stanford (McKenzie), Kelsi Plunkett (Brett) and Kevin Rainey (Cara Beth); step great grand kinds, Kolt Rainey, Kase Rainey, Kash Rainey, Brinley Stanford and Rhett Plunkett; nephew, Brandon Drummond, Jeremy Drummond and Alex Key; Neice, Abigail Drummond.
Pallbearers include; Ryan Stanford, Kyle Rainey, Kevin Rainey, Brett Plunkett, Jeremy Drummond and Alex Key.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday March 7, 2023 at 1:00pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in New Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30AM-1:00pm.
