Phillip Hinton – Obituary

Funeral for Phillip Hinton, 85, of Decatur will be Monday, May 20, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Sawyer and the Rev. Larry Trotter officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hinton, who died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital, was born March 9, 1928, in Mississippi to George P. Hinton and Dorothy Inez Kitchen Hinton. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Monsanto. “He was the Best Shoe Man Micheal Mason Ever Had.” Mr. Hinton attended Calvary Assembly of God. His wife, JoAnn Hinton; and sister, Ann Wright, preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Phillis Alldredge; two grandsons, Michael Alldredge and Daniel and wife, Lauren Alldredge; one brother, Larry Hinton; two sisters, Sharon Hinton and Lois Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
