Phillip B. Hendrick, 63, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on February 10, 2024.
Born in California, Phillip entered the Army instead of running away from home. He spent most of his military career in Germany where he met his wife. Once he moved back to the US and settled in Huntsville, everyone knew him as a cool dude, whether it was initiating the first bubble slide down the hill at the Chaffee Community pool, opening his private pool to the neighborhood kids, being the soccer “team mom”, or helping a neighbor. He enjoyed providing entertainment on the patio screen with music videos, some terrible, rated B horror movies, and had a contagious love of Halloween.
Phil is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elke; his son, Cody; mother, Leta; sister Vicki; “adopted” daughter Maike; and nieces, Stacey, Jessi and Cheyenne.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 15, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, he would love for you to donate to an animal shelter.
