Philip D StumboIt is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Philip Dee “Phil” Stumbo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 22, 2024 , in the VA Hospital in Birmingham Alabama.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm, Saturday, June 29th at the Faith Presbyterian Church with a 6pm graveside service following at Plum Springs Baptist Church in Eastaboga, Al.

Born to Mary and Floyd Stumbo of Daytona Beach FL on August 28, 1940; Phis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nell Hicks Stumbo. Son, Ron Stumbo of Millbrook, AL, daughters Angela Stumbo King of Atlanta, GA and, Tammy Stumbo Jacks (Rick) of Anniston AL. Grandsons Joshua Philip King, (Tara) of Acworth Ga and Tyler Philip Stumbo of Millbrook AL. Granddaughter’s; Julia Jacks Character ( Jamie) and Meagan Jacks all of Oxford, AL. Great Grandson Wyatt Character, Great Granddaughter Olivia Stumbo. Three special nieces.

Mr. Stumbo was Captain in the U.S. Army, having served in Hawaii, Vietnam and ending his military career at Fort McClellan AL. He was owner of Oxford Blueprint & Engineering until retirement. He was an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Anniston for thirty one years where he faithfully served as an elder for over twenty years.

He is predeceased by his parents Mary and Floyd Stumbo, brother, Roger Stumbo, and sister Elaine Darois and by grandson Drew King.

In lieu of flowers Mr. Stumbo requested memorial donations be made to Faith Presbyterian Church or Wounded Warriors , 4899 Belfort Rd Suite 300 Jacksonville Florida 32256.
